2007-Projects of the Year


2007 Project of the Year New Installation:


By implementing cooperative teamwork and strategic planning, the Indianapolis Airport Utility Connector Tunnel was constructed, as a means to provide utilities to the airport’s new terminal.

2007 Project of the Year New Installation Runner Up:


Harsh terrain was just one of the obstacles to face as engineers and construction crews planned and executed the complex intersection project through employing HDD.

2007 Project of the Year Honorable Mention New Installation:

Honorable Mention: Through installing fusible PVC pipe, the Beaufort Jasper Water & Sewer Authority of Beaufort, S.C. was able to supply reclaimed water to an island golf course.

Honorable Mention: In using pipe ramming as its method of choice, Nix Construction was able to extend a commuter railroad’s drainage system in Utah — after 45 miles of track and 14 different rams.





2007 Project of the Year Rehabilitation:

As if one 4,000 ft cured-in-place pipe project wasn’t enough, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District tackled two feats of that magnitude through poor weather conditions and restricting deadlines to become the Project of the Year for Rehabilitation.

2007 Project of the Year Rehabilitation Runner Up:

Pneumatic pipe bursting helped the City of Atlanta increase sewer capacity in the rapidly growing Buckhead community.

2007 Project of the Year Honorable Mention Rehabilitation:

Honorable Mention: In less than three months, crews were able to repair the sanitary and storm sewers beneath the City of Ottawa’s King Edward Avenue by using CIPP.

Honorable Mention: Rehab HM: Aging waterlines were rehabilitated using CIPP, allowing Old Montreal to repair its streets and continue being a popular tourist destination.
